| Hi There! Ten years ago today marks the genesis of a dream Kristy and I had been working on for almost two years. After writing umpteen business plans, getting approval from the county for a home occupation, working through many details with the Tax and Trade Bureau (no one had opened a brewery in a garage before), waiting (and waiting) for our state licensing (ask Kristy about that), it finally happened. We sold our first beer on May 13, 2010 with high hopes and much trepidation. Today we celebrate ten years – ten years of great joy, lots of work, scheming, planning, making new friends, dealing with governments, brewing lots of beer, and trying to be creative. We have had a great time! From a 2/3 bbl brew house In our garage to a 15 bbl brew house in Louisville, surviving three forest fires and a major flood, to a business plan that called for us to have our beer in 2 restaurants and 4 liquor stores, to having accounts at almost 200 liquor stores, restaurants and taprooms – here we are, ten years later and wondering what the next ten years will bring. While Kristy and I cannot be at the taproom today, we will be there in heart and soul. Colin, Nate, Dion, Bond, Timmy, Ryan, Deidrick and Matt have worked hard to put together the best celebration possible considering the circumstances. They have lots of fun things in store.
